Admissions Process
All students entering Macon Road Baptist School will be tested for academic achievement and placement before admittance into the school year. Macon Road will consider for admission those students who are academically and morally acceptable according to the standards set by the school.
How Do I Enroll?
1) Application and Registration
Submit a Registration Form, Financial Agreement Form, and the Registration Fee to the school office. Students registering for the first time must also submit their birth certificate, shot record (TN Child Immunization Health Record), and a school physical (K5).
2) Testing (1st - 12th Grades)
After you have submitted your application and registration fee to the school office, please set up a testing appointment. Testing is administered on the first Saturday of every month from April through August. If a holiday falls on one of these Saturdays, testing will take place the second Saturday in that month.
For testing, students must wear "Special Event Dress Code" as stated in the "Dress Code" section in the 7th through 12th grade section of the student handbook.
The following items must be submitted before or at the time of testing: a copy of the students' most recent report card, a copy of the the students' most recent test scores (SAT's), a copy of the students' transcripts (for students registering for 11th and 12th grade), and a $40 non-refundable testing fee.
Testing Location: Students need to meet in the Timothy Building on the Berclair campus at 8:00 a.m. on the day of testing. Most tests will be completed by 12:00 p.m.
Testing Results: Within ten days after the testing date, the school will notify you regarding the testing results.
3) New Student/Parent Meeting (7th-12th Grades only)
A New Student/Parent Meeting will be held on Orientation night at 5:15 p.m. Regular Orientation for all students will be at 6:15 p.m.
4) Orientation (K3-12)
Macon Road Baptist School hosts an orientation for all grades before the start of the new school year. Information regarding orientation will be posted on the school's website by July 15.
It is required that at least one parent attend orientation for students to be admitted to class on the first day of school.
